The Central Ohio Diabetes Association is an independent organization providing services to people with diabetes in Central Ohio regardless of their ability to pay. Central Ohio Diabetes Association is not affiliated with any national organization, and all funds raised stay in Central Ohio to provide services to people with diabetes.

The Central Ohio Diabetes Association helps Central Ohioans with diabetes detect their condition, prevent onset and complications, and learn to live well with the challenge of diabetes.

"One in 10 people in the Central Ohio community will develop diabetes."

Central Ohio Diabetes Association recognizes diabetes as a serious community problem that needs a community solution. In an ideal situation, people with diabetes will have their disease under good control and visit with their diabetes health-care team regularly. This is the exception rather than the rule. As the statistics indicate, diabetes is on the increase and the complications are serious and costly. Early detection, more patient education, increasing health-care team participation and setting goals for better self management are needed for change to occur. The Central Ohio Diabetes Association is committed to helping people with diabetes learn to live well with the challenge of diabetes.

The Central Ohio Diabetes Association needs your help in the fight against diabetes. You can make a difference right now by Sponsoring A Mile in Tom's Ironman Fundraising Program. All funds raised stay in Central Ohio to help 171,500 individuals who live with diabetes in the community. Until there's a cure, we need your support to continue offering services to those living with diabetes.

Thank you very much for you support.
